In spite of all the hype surrounding the boat shaped hotel in Dubai, the famed Burj Al Arab does not make it to the list of the world's best hotels in Travel & Leisure's 13th annual poll. Neither does Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace.
The readers of the magazine, typically experienced and exhaustive travelers, chose their best hotels from across the world. And Dubai is obvious by its absence.
