“It’s one of the most impressive and ambitious resorts I’ve seen. It’s certainly the most ludicrous. So ludicrous, in fact, it’s almost heroic.” So wrote journalist Stephen Bleach in the UK’s Sunday Times of Atlantis, the 1,539 room resort that opened yesterday at the top of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.
