Qatar Holding, part of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), and NYSE Euronext (NYX) publicized on Saturday the signing of a binding agreement to create the Qatar Exchange, a successor to the already active Doha Securities Market (DSM).

The agreement marks NYSE Euronext’s first foray in the Gulf market.
