Brocade (NASDAQ:BRCD) today announced that managed hosting provider Denit Hosting Solutions, has selected Brocade NetIron® MLX Series routers to enable 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity between its two data centres in The Netherlands that, together with IPv6 support, will provide Denit’s customers access to faster, more reliable network performance for their hosted IT solutions needs.
Specifically, Brocade, in cooperation with channel partner Falco Networks, provided Denit the Brocade NetIron MLX-4 and MLX-8 routers that met Denit’s immediate data centre-connectivity requirements with an upgrade path for future demands. Denit Hosting Solutions is a hosting provider specialised in dedicated server hosting, terminal server hosting and VPS hosting with VMware.
Denit selected the Brocade NetIron MLX series because they offered the optimal mix of functionality, price and performance and scalability while reducing the total cost of ownership over the lifecycle of the network infrastructure. In comparison to other solutions, the Brocade NetIron MLX Series offered lower power consumption and heat dissipation, which are both critical requirements in the energy-conscious world of data centre operators.
“For each data center, we were looking for a new networking platform that offers our clients the best uptime,” said René Kaandorp, Manager Operations at Denit Hosting Solutions. “The Brocade NetIron MLX series met these requirements. They serve the current and future demands of our users, where especially high-speeds and low-latency are of great importance.”
