Brazilian footballer Kaka (real name Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite) was publically introduced as Real Madrid’s newest player at Bernabeu stadium on Tuesday evening, reports the AFP. He was given the number eight jersey in front of crowd of almost 50,000 people, more than three times the estimated number.
“I want to write my name into the history of this club,” Kaka said to the crowd.
The unveiling was attended by club president Florentino Perez and honorary president Alfredo di Stefano.
Kaka signed a six-year contract worth $79 million with Real Madrid. Previously, he played for AC Milan.
