Traffic figures for the Abu Dhabi International Airport showed a 10.3 percent increase compared with the same period in 2008, according to figures released by the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).

Passenger numbers hit 923,124, compared with 837,129 in July 2008, reports government-owned news agency WAM.

London was the busiest destination, followed by Bangkok, Doha, Cairo and Bahrain. Together they accounted for 21.7 percent of the airport’s traffic in July 2009.
