The UAE is currently selecting a consultant to draft regulations for its planned rail network, reports The National. International rail regulators and consultants from countries such as the US, Germany, France, Australia and the UK are all competing to be chosen, says the report, and according to the National Transport Authority, one of them will be appointed by the end of the month.
Whether the country is planning to add a superlative or two (biggest, largest etc) to the planned rail network is as yet unknown, but if it does decide to build one of the world's best trains, it is going to face some stiff competition.
According to US-based organization The Society of International Railway Travelers, these are the world's top eight trains.
