A Damascus-bound Wataniya Airways flight returned to Kuwait City following an argument between a staff member and a passenger who alleged to be carrying a bomb in his bag, reported Kuwait’s official news agency KUNA.
The passenger initially refused to place his hand luggage in the overhead compartment 40- minutes after take-off. An argument ensued, forcing the pilot to return to the airline’s headquarters in Kuwait.
The passenger was taken in for questioning upon arrival. After searching his bags, authorities found no explosives. The passenger has been referred to the state authorities for further questioning.
