The Abu Dhabi International Airport has recorded a 7 percent rise in passengers over the course of 2009, to date, according to the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), which manages the airport. The airport also saw a 2.8 percent increase in passenger traffic during October this year as compared to the same period last year.
ADAC also said that during the three-day Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2009 event, the Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport saw traffic rising by 18 percent as compared to the same dates last year.
