Kuwait made $28.7 billion in the first half of 2009, exceeding the estimated income of $28.1 billion for the entire fiscal year, according to the finance ministry, reports AFP. The country spent $11.2 billion
during the period, 26.6 percent of the projected expenditure of $42.1 billion for the whole year.
Kuwait’s oil revenues, which reached $27.1 billion during the first six months of the year, accounted for 94.3 percent of the total income, the ministry said.
