Ahmed Humaid al-Tayer, the newly appointed governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has promised to “build on its success” and promote the country as an investment hub, reports The National.
“We are here to establish an international financial center for the UAE, to serve the region and to co-operate with other centers from Hong Kong to Frankfurt and London,” said al-Tayer.
Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum issued a decree on Friday to replace the ex-DIFC governor, Omar bin Sulaiman, with al-Tayer.
