Qatar’s property fund, Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment, has bought the US government’s Embassy building in London, reports The Wall Street Journal. The US State Department signed a deal to sell the property in Grosvenor Square in central London, it announced on Tuesday, but gave no details about the value of the agreement.
The US embassy had announced last year that it would move from the building in Grosvenor Square to a new high-security building south of the River Thames.
