We've been surprised how quickly some BlackBerry users can type on the phone's miniscule keyword. Kipp has received a fair number of long-winded (and venomous) emails from the big boss from his BlackBerry, so we know it's possible to write lengthy emails on this thing. Unfortunately, Kipp neither has the slender hands nor the patience to negotiate BlackBerry's tiny keys. That said, we know it can be done, which is good enough for Kipp.

A bizarre series of flashes and twists occur before the keyboard appears on Satio's touch screen. But when the keyboard finally flickers into place, writing an email is fairly easy, even if you've got especially fat fingers (like a junior member on Kipp. They're pretty fat). The only issue Kipp's benevolent ruler faced is speed. It took her ages to write a decent sized SMS.

The phone comes with a host of standard facilities, including a camera (still and video), a music player and voice recording capabilities. Considering what's already out there in the market, the BlackBerry Bold 9000 almost seems old school.

In addition to BlackBerry Bold's offerings, Satio has a 12.1-megapixel camera, and a feature called TrackID, which can identify the name of a song, provided the phone is connected to the Internet, and the sound quality of the music is clear. It has other interesting features, but we don't have time to list them all. Suffice it to say, this is a well stacked phone.
