The UAE’s telecommunications companies, du and Etisalat, have agreed on a list of websites to ban for all Blackberry users in the UAE, local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm reported on Sunday. The list is in line with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) guidelines, the newspaper said.
The list includes websites for gambling, pornography, illicit drugs, terrorist-related sites and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) enabling portals.
The ban will come into effect shortly, the paper said.
