Dubai-based Emaar Properties announced on Wednesday that the developer’s board of directors has decided against a merger with Dubai Holding’s property companies. The board determined the merger would not have economic benefits for the developer.

In June, Emaar announced it will merge with Dubai Properties, Sama Dubai and Tatweer, claiming the process would take four months to complete.
