UAE bans import of sheep, goats from Kazakhstan
The UAE has temporarily banned the import of various types of sheep and goats and their products from Kazakhstan because of the appearance of chicken pox disease among the animals, reports official news agency WAM. According to the report, the decision is based on information received from the World Organization for Animal Health, which detected the prevalence of “sheep and goat pox” in Kazakhstan.
Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has ordered the withdrawal of American hazelnuts and Spanish eggs from stores in the city because the products are suspected of being contaminated with salmonella bacteria, reported Khaleej Times
