Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum has approved the 2010 budget for the government sector in Dubai, the Department of Finance said on Saturday.
The budget aims to achieve a current surplus of AED1.9 billion thanks to “efficient and effective” public spending management programs, said Abdul Rahman al-Saleh, the director general of the Department of Finance.
“The total government investment spending reached AED10.7 billion, representing 30 percent of total government spending for the development and completion of infrastructure projects in accordance with the set plans”, said the statement.
