Toyota Motor Corp said that it was recalling some of its models from the Middle East to fix faulty accelerator pedals, reports Reuters. The faults, found on the 2005-2010 model year Avalons and the 2009-2010 Sequoia cars, have already led to the recall of 4.4 million cars from North America, Europe and China so far.
On Monday, Toyota said that it is making steel plates in Japan to fix the pedal problem, and that it would send “field remedy” kits to dealers in the US.
