Construction started today in Dubai’s Heart of Europe project, as contractors began work on the first luxury villas planned for the World Islands development on Germany Island, according to a press release.

Heart of Europe is a six-island, holiday development that will include islands representing Germany, Monte Carlo, Switzerland, Austria, St Petersburg and Sweden. When complete, the development will feature house 75 private holiday homes, six apartment buildings, six hotels, along with retail, dining, and entertainment venues.

Kleindienst Group, developer of The Heart of Europe project, announced City Diamond Contracting was appointed to begin work on the first of 20 villas on the six island holiday project.

The first villa is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of this year, and is planned as a show home for investors. The villa development on Germany Island will comprise 20 units, scheduled for completion next year. Thirteen villas have reportedly already been sold.
