The brash city of Dubai has probably been one of the hardest hit by the global financial crisis. That became clear when, in late 2009, the tiny emirate was forced to admit it was unable to meet its debt obligations.
And certainly, the real estate market is still agonizing. But Dubai’s tourism sector is bouncing back from the financial sandstorm, now selling itself as an upbeat destination for budget conscious travelers.
