Dubai aims to create racing stars with camel cloning technology.

With the birth of the second successful cloned camel three months ago, scientists at the Camel Reproduction Centre in Dubai now hope to use the technique on some of Dubai’s leading racing camels to preserve elite bloodlines as well as to create racing stars of the future.
The world’s first cloned camel, Injaz (meaning achievement), was born in 2009 at the Camel Reproduction Centre .The project had the personal backing of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.
