Facebook can only be described as a social networking phenomenon. The online club is soon to boast half a billion members – if it were a country, it would be one of the most populous on the planet.
But Facebook’s popularity has been dented lately over issues of privacy, as Kipp has reported. The seemingly unstoppable business growth seems to have paused while the management takes stock of a sudden backlash from users who fear their private data is available to all.
