Al Tayer Group has operations in 12 countries in the Middle East. It currently records 7,800 employees for each of its areas of involvement. These businesses include publishing (Al Nisr Publishing-Gulf News), automobile (Ferrari, Ford, Land rover, Jaguar, etc), luxury and lifestyle brands (Armani, YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, etc), retail (Bloomingdale’s and Harvey Nichols), jewellery (Bvlgari, Damiani, Asprey, etc), cosmetics (Bobbi Brown, Areej, etc), as well as interiors contracting, engineering and travel.
At the helm is Obaid Humaid Al Tayer as the company’s chairman and CEO. He runs the firm with his four brothers ever since it opened in 1979. And according to Zawya.com, the company is valued into the billions.
