The deputy CEO of Shuaa Capital almost saw his company dissolved last week. Who are the people he counts as his contacts?

Mitri works directly under the CEO of Shuaa Capital, Iyad Duwaji. Duwaji joined the company in 1988, and became its CEO in 1995. In 1998, he helped to establish a private equity fund for the Arab region, the Middle East North Africa Fund (MENAVEST). He also established Shuaa Partners as a separate private equity arm of Shuaa Capital, and currently serves as the former’s chairman.

Duwaji serves on the board of various companies and organizations, including Amwal in Qatar, International General Insurance in Jordan and Al Kout in Kuwait. He is also a member of the Arab Business Council.
