Bernie Ecclestone was pictured shaking hands with Jenson Button at the Korean Formula One Grand Prix at the Korea International Circuit on October 21, 2010 in Yeongam-gun, South Korea. The story of British racer Button is one of pure hard work; he had to go through 113 attempts before he could win his first grand prix, in Hungary in 2006.
Though probably not the most eloquent driver (for instance, when asked by the BBC to use three words to describe what it’s like to be a Formula 1 driver, Button replied “Wow, wow – and wow’), he is certainly well respected for achieving world champion status. In 2009, Button won six of the season’s first seven grand prix and was confirmed as winner of the title of “world champion” in Interlagos in Oct 2009.
