Buying budget isn’t a particularly Dubai-an mindset, but it is slowly catching on. Kipp takes a quick look at the small but growing network of budget in Dubai.

It may have been launched in 2004 in the UAE, but this uber-budget fashion retail chain now boasts of 114 stores across UAE, KSA, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Turkey, Egypt, Yemen and India. Getting off at a metro station which is right opposite a Max, Kipp can confidently claim the chain has a loyal following in Dubai resident. Of course, Max is part of Landmark, the very group that announced the future acquisition of three companies in deals worth a total of $1 billion last year…that is not including its acquisition of the Fitness First chain.
