Kuwait-based retail conglomerate Alshaya starts 2012 with the announcement of a partial buy-out of lingerie brand La Senza in the UK. The brand had announced in December that it was planning to close 81 stores due to a difficult economic climate. Alshaya’s offer reportedly saved 60 La Senza stores in the UK. The deal gives Alshaya UK Limited, exclusive franchise rights for the brand in the UK.
