Prince Charles
From renowned eye doctors to prominent entrepreneurs, the British royal is connected to businessmen across the Middle East.

In February 2007, The Prince of Wales visited Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in Dubai, the UAE’s only eye specialist hospital, and met Chris Canning.
Canning is the CEO and Medical Director of the hospital in Dubai, the organization’s first overseas branch. Moorfields Eye Hospital is originally based in London and is one of the largest and oldest hospitals in the world. It is partly funded by Foresight, a Dubai-based charity that raises money for eye diseases.
“They (people in the UAE) will have access to the best and most up to date diagnoses, and treatments, from some of the world’s leading eye specialists, without the need to travel to London or elsewhere,” said Canning.
