Queen Rania of Jordan

Queen Rania addressed a star-studded audience on hand for the 59^th Annual Bambi Awards, held in Germany in 2007.  But the drama brought to light that evening was not the stuff of big screen cinema.  For this special evening, center stage was reserved for the world’s most vulnerable citizens –children burdened by war and poverty.

With a host of stars in attendance, including veteran American film star, Tom Cruise, Queen Rania accepted a distinguished humanitarian award.  The Queen was honored by former German Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher, who called her efforts a symbol of hope for the region.
