Saudi Aramco has restarted its reformer unit at Ras Tanura refinery after scheduled maintenance in February, trading sources said.

It was not immediately available when exactly the unit, which reforms naphtha into gasoline, came back online.

A new catalyst was installed during the shutdown, one source said.

The refinery is the Middle East’s largest with a crude processing capacity of 550,000 barrels per day (bpd).

As a result of the shutdown, which lasted for about two weeks half of the reforming units capacity of 105,000 bpd was down.
