A Greek-Cypriot multimillionaire business tycoon and a stunning 26-year-old model and former Miss Great Britain: a match made in heaven? The hard-to- miss- couple were spotted in 2007 at the stylish Art Bar in South Kensington, west London, sending the paparazzi into a frenzy. “Obsessively secretive about his private life, Stelios has rarely been seen with girlfriends,” London Evening Standard reported.
The prominent airline tycoon and the “green-crusading former Miss Great Britain who has posed in little more than lettuce leaves to show off her environmental credentials,” seemed an unlikely match to some observers. “But then, when you dating one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors with a £500 million fortune, it is perhaps easy to overlook a little difference of opinion,” the report said.
Johnston reportedly met the magnate while in Monaco where he spends much of his time. Johnston is a staunch supporter of animal rights, vegetarianism, cruelty free products, and endangered species. And the press had a field day pointing up the disparity in the backgrounds of the two lovebirds.
