The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi is also the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and considered by many to be a leading candidate to be the next President of the UAE. The Sheikh met Bill Gates in 2008 at a Microsoft Arabia event where Gates was the keynote speaker.
Sheikh Mohammed was educated in the UAE and England, and graduated from England’s prestigious Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in 1979. He was named Crown prince in 2004, and Deputy Supreme Commander in 2005. He is also a special adviser to the President of the UAE, his older brother Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
