Here’s a celebrity who has much more in common with Gates. Seinfeld made his fame with his awkward, introverted comedy and his sitcom (the “show about nothing”) made him an American superstar. He starred alongside Gates in a series of random commercials for Microsoft, trying to portray the behemoth company as more down to earth.
Seinfeld is another Brooklyn native, who graduated in communication and theater. After gaining his degree he took his interest in stand-up comedy and tried out at an open mic night, landing himself an immediate early television role. He found himself doing stand-up comedy routines on major shows including David Letterman, eventually earning a shot at his own sitcom, Seinfeld. It went on to become one of the most popular and famous shows in America.
