Bollywood’s fascination for shooting abroad extends the UAE. Over the years several Bollywood films have been partly shot in the UAE including Naam, Boom, Ajnabee, Om Jai Jagadish, Talaash, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Fida, Deewane Huye Paagal, The Killer. The most well received of the lot would probably be Welcome which raked in nearly Dh89 million worldwide. The blockbuster featuring Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Mallika Sherwat and Katrina Kaif follows the romantic troubles of a Dubai based criminal’s offspring.
