When Qatar launched its state of the art Qatar Science and Technology Park, the man whose mobiles have so recently taken the country by storm was there to help mark the occasion. He was a guest of the Emir of Qatar, and his renowned wife Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned. As chair of the Qatar Foundation she has been one of the drivers behind the Science and Technology Park.
Sheikha Mozah is the second of the Emir’s three wives. Unlike many wives in the region she is a high profile and active member of senior society. She is Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, Chairperson of the Arab Democracy Foundation, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Vice-President of the Supreme Education Council, and a UNESCO Special Envoy for Basic and Higher Education. You’d think that would keep her busy enough, but she also found time to have seven children.
