Two years ago Sheikh Ahmed presented the Leadership Award instituted by the Arabian Hospitality Investment Conference (AHIC) to Emaar Properties Chairman Mohamed Ali Alabbar. Alabbar, who is a member of the Dubai Executive Council, also serves on the board of directors of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) and Noor Investment Group. In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in finance and business administration from Seattle University, Alabbar also has an honorary doctoral degree in humanities from Seattle. Alabbar has been the chair of Emaar Properties since its establishment in 1997.
