There can’t be many people in the world who don’t know the story of Bill Gates, the self-made billionaire from the US West coast. With a net worth that can only be guessed at (Wikipedia says $53 billion), earlier this year Gates joined the Giving Pledge, a program set up by American billionaires to give away their wealth.
