Said to have a friendship with British billionaire Richard Branson, Sheikh Mansour forayed into the world of space travel last year when he acquired 32 percent of Branson’s Virgin Galactica for $280 million. An attempt to commercialize space travel, Virgin Galactica is just one of Branson’s many projects. From radio, music label, an airline, mobile phones, drinks to hotels and the world of finance, it sometimes seems as Branson is a superhuman posing as a businessman. But the entrepreneur, who has dabbled in his fair share of philanthropy, believes that it is important to understand the responsibility associated with being financially successful. Speaking to the BBC, Branson said: “With extreme wealth comes extreme responsibility. And the responsibility for me is to invest in creating new businesses, create jobs, employ people, and to put money aside to tackle issues where we can make a difference.”
