Later on in the year, in May 2008, the number plate ‘5’ became the world’s most expensive number plate after a Dubai-based stock broker Talal Khouri dished out Dh25.2 million to pay for the plate-the proceeds went to a charity…but of course, oone mustn’t forget ones’ charitable causes when splurging ridiculous amounts of cash for one’s ego.
