The value factor seems to alter a tad when one crosses the Atlantic. The most expensive license plate in the US is one of only four 1921 Alaska plates said to have survived since before Alaska was officially a state of the USA. So how much did the license go for when it was auctioned in parking lot of a Wendy’s in Maine? How does a cool $60,000 (approx. Dh220,000) sound? Chunk change to our Abu Dhabi plate enthusiasts, of course.
