The most expensive number plate sold in Britain spells out ‘F1’ and it was bought by  businessman Afzal Khan who spent a total of £440,625 (a little over Dh2 million). Khan’s ‘Formula One’ number plate sits pleasantly on his  Mercedes-Benz McLaren, which costs half of what Khan paid for the number plate.
