Today is the His Highness’ Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai’s birthday.
Kippreport takes a look at our ruler’s many achievements.
Born in 1949, the third of four brothers, today we celebrate his 65th birthday. He has been the key figure in the transformation of Dubai – taking it from a patch of desert, to one of the leading countries in tourism and hospitality. In that respect, Dubai is one of the shining stars of the UAE. As crown prince, he oversaw the development of the Burj al-Arab, the Palm and World Islands, and the world’s tallest building the Burj Khalifa.
In 2006 Sheikh Mohammed was named Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE.
Recently, his efforts have brought the government closer to the people of Dubai, when he announced the ‘mobile government’ initiative in May of last year.
Here at Kipp, we look forward to many more years of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, and would like to wish him many happy returns, long life, and prosperity.
