AED12,000 for a bottle of water
The UAE has recently launched Bling H20, the mineral water that comes in a Swarovski-encrusted glass bottle.

The following is a press release we received recently:
“In the land where biggest and tallest, most expensive and outlandish is the norm, it goes without saying that weddings in the UAE are elaborate and extravagant affairs.
Now, brides in the UAE can add a splash of Hollywood to their big day, matching their sparkling wedding gowns to their bottled water with the launch of Bling H20, the mineral water favoured by A-list celebrities such as Paris Hilton, which comes presented in a Swarovski-encrusted glass bottle.
Created by Kevin G. Boyd, a Hollywood writer and producer, the water has most recently been served at the Oscars and the Grammys.
While the regular bottles sell for 130dhs for the small size and 250dhs for the large, the Dubai Series start from 12,000dhs and can be custom-made for different events.”
The poor guy/girl who had to write that release… How on earth do you promote a mineral water bottle worth AED12,000 during the financial crisis? Actually, how on earth do you promote a mineral water bottle worth AED12,000 even without the financial crisis?
