UAE residents are appealing against traffic fines.

Khaleej Times reported on Sunday that 883 UAE residents have appealed against traffic fines. Major-general Mohammed Saif al-Zafin, director of the General Department of Traffic said: “If we find that the complainant was correct, we will cancel the fine.”

Most of the complaints were made by Emiratis (228), Egyptians (120), Pakistanis (85), Syrians (71) and Indians (69).

“We assure residents that we would not issue fines if somebody has not violated the law,” al-Zafin added.

Wait a minute. Kipp has two parking tickets, and both of the tickets claim that we “parked in the wrong place.” How do you contest that statement? “No, I wasn’t parked in the wrong place.”

The police don’t give detailed explanations on traffic slips, so how does one appeal a fine? We’re curious. Seriously.

    How do I complain ? Notice is in Arabic, and judge speaks only Arabic. If I have to appoint a advocate or lawyer whose fees will be bigger than the fine. What is the alternative ? Just pay and get lost that would be best solution
