Emirati pilots graduate. So?
Why do companies constantly feel compelled to stress even the ordinary accomplishments of Emiratis?

The first Emirati cadet pilots have graduated from Etihad’s flight training program. A press release was sent out, and a big picture of the event made it to the front page of The National.
Kipp just wonders if this piece of news deserves the amount of publicity it got. After all, cadet pilots graduate across the world, and have been doing so for decades. So what’s different in this case? Does being Emirati make these pilots special in any other way? Why does every (ordinary) thing ‘achieved’ by a UAE national need to be highlighted?
