Finally You Can Kiss People Over the Internet
…finally, NOT! Prudish little Kipp is irked out by this new Japanese invention in the making. What about you?

Given that this month Kipp is focusing on mobile technology, we’ve been creeping about the techy sections on websites and forums for a couple more hours than is usually healthy. While we were lurking on Mashable we saw a link to an article called “Finally You Can Kiss People Over the Internet.”
Yes, we know what you are thinking but our morbidly curious side of us got the better of us and we actually did give the article a read…and we’ve been scarred for life.
But before we wax dramatic, here’s what you need to know:
“The Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications has created a device which consists of a hardware receptacle which is placed into the mouth and software that remembers the movements of your tongue and sends them to the other connected device, which moves accordingly.”
If this sounds creepy, check out the video on the page for the complete effect.
Added to the ability to bridge the gap between long-distance relationship couples, the developers believe that the device could be potentially a big hit with big-eyed fans who’d want to get just a little closer to their favourite movie star.
Kipp’s all for technological advancement but on this one we are not quite on board with it. What do you think? Do you think there would be significant demand for one of these? And would you invest in something like this?
