FP7 Doha stripped of Lynx awards

Do you think the agency deserves it?
April 2, 2009 12:16 by Aarti Nagraj
The organizers of the 2009 Dubai Lynx advertising awards have announced that they are withdrawing the Agency of the Year award from Fortune Promoseven (FP7) Doha along with several other awards that the agency managed to bag.
FP7 Doha got into trouble when the award winning ads they did for Samsung were rejected by the client. The controversial ads, one of them featuring Jesus with nuns, and the other, featuring a scantily-clad woman, got Samsung and FP7 Doha into problems in Lebanon.
What do you think of the decision by Lynx? Do you think FP7′s work put Samsung in potential trouble? Or was this all a big mess created by jealous agencies?
