Immoral content on TV? Kill the owner

The Saudi cleric who issued the fatwa has now explained his stand.

Conversation in the office turned to legal scenarios after reading about a Saudi cleric’s statement that owners of satellite TV networks that show “immoral” content may be killed.
“Just imagine authorities catch a man who killed a guy in Saudi.
Man: But I only killed a satellite TV owner because he was showing immoral stuff.
Officials: Oh, OK. Then you are free to go. Sorry about that.”
The cleric has since clarified that the owners should be brought to trial and sentenced to death only if other penalties don’t deter them from airing such broadcasts.
But what do you think about such a statement? Will the media feel threatened or in danger?

Unbelieviable, i some people are just plan crazy. Religion is there to be followed by choice, not followed out of fear of death. if people choose to do things which there faith has contradicted with, than it is the individual’s fault.
As for the Salalite TV, it is entertainment people get a life and give it a rest. you know there is alot of educational channels on Satalite, Why punish people for wanting something to watch while they are bored. Its like they cant even listen to music in public so let them watch some TV while they are at home.
I thought islam was a faith of peace and compassion not Do it or DIE.
Just something to think about.
