Kipp can’t go back to the chicken’s den

Kipp experiences luxury in the air, for once.

There’s an episode of Seinfeld when Jerry sits in First class and says: “Once you go first class, you can never go back.” Kipp agrees. Although we’ve never flown First Class.
Last night, we flew Business Class for the first time in three years; it was gorgeous. We won’t mention the airline (it’s based in Abu Dhabi), but our seats were completely flat and our screens were huge. The best part, however, was being on the right side of a closed curtain.
When the stewardess closed the curtain between Business Class and the Chicken’s den in the back, Kipp finally got a chance to know why the rich have all the fun: passengers were offered champagne, treats, toiletries, fluffy blankets, huge menus, and more, while the poor in the back got earphones and a wet towel.
Unfortunately, our bank balances and frugality prohibit us from flying Business Class regularly, or ever. The only reason why the universe shined on us this time is because someone else paid for it.
And we thought living in Dubai would catapult us into a life of luxury… we wanted to experience luxury, not be spectators to it.

I remember the time when I used to fly for 24 hours from UAE to West side in the US while I was studying there on economy class, now after I got used to flying on First and business class, I drather stay and not fly than to fly on economy class even if you hit me with a baseball bat.
