Malls are now running counseling sessions alongside their retail offers.

Marriage counseling is the latest service on offer at shopping malls in Dubai. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai is running coffee shop marriage counseling sessions for free at the Dubai Festival City.

In a bid to reduce divorce rates in the country, the campaign, called “He has put between you affection and mercy,” is aiming to encourage couples to seek counseling to work out their issues.
So far, however, the initiative hasn’t been successful. According to a report in The National, the counselors have had women approach them, but not with relationship problems; they wanted to know how to potty train their kids.
